Humble Beginnings
Victory Baptist Church started on a Wednesday evening as a Bible study, March 9, 2016, with just a handful of people, 7 in addition to my family. Our Lord has continued to bless us over the years; we have an average attendance on Sunday of around 30. We formally organized as a church on July 3, 2016.
Our primary goals at VBC are to to win souls for Jesus Christ; to make the truths of the Bible known, understood, and integrated into the lives of the members of our church; and to strengthen the relationships of the members of our church by having a variety of activities and events outside of the weekly church services.
Our desire is to grow numerically, but not at the expense of correct doctrine; biblical standards; or personal and church (ecclesiastical) separation. In other words, we gather to worship Jesus Christ through the preaching, music ministry, and fellowship of the saints. Our services are not designed to create an emotional experience or "pep rally" for Jesus. We trust the Holy Spirit to move people from the inside out and we do not try to manufacture this movement by human effort. Don't misunderstand, we have a good time in the Lord, but it happens organically and is not forced.
